Job summary

Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering firm, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to develop fluid systems. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams, produce 2D drawings and 3D BIM models, and support design reviews to meet safety and project requirements.

You will be part of a global team, with hybrid work options and ongoing professional development. A strong background in mechanical design and CAD tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role.
• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams to realise designs.
• Proficient with 2D CAD (AutoCAD) and 3D CAD/BIM tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D CAD drawings, PFDs and P&IDs.
• Prepare 3D CAD/BIM models, plant layouts and isometrics.
• Conduct layout optimisation and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with design standards, specs and safety factors.
• Collaborate across engineering teams and with suppliers.
