Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Plymouth Building Services (MEP) team. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, champion high-quality design, and mentor junior engineers while managing scope, resources, and budgets.

You will contribute to innovative workflows and standard-setting solutions across UK projects, using BIM with Revit and Amtech. This role offers growth within a supportive, collaborative environment at a growing office.

Qualifications

• Proven background in Building Services design.
• Track record delivering Mechanical and MEP solutions across varied building sectors (healthcare, education, commercial, residential, industrial).
• Proficiency with BIM processes, including Revit and Amtech/IED.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of projects, including project team, deliverables, resourcing, programme and budget.
• Develop and mentor junior engineers and support chartership routes.
• Contribute to innovation, process improvement and technical excellence initiatives.
• Assist with team management, resource planning and quality assurance.
