Job summary

RGB Recruitment partners with a private multidisciplinary engineering consultancy to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Midlands/North region, with locations including Nottingham. The role offers autonomy across a broad portfolio, delivering innovative mechanical design across healthcare, education, commercial and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• HNC/HND with suitable mechanical building services design experience
• Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status
• 3–4 years' post-qualification experience in building services design
• Strong experience within mechanical building services design
• Experience with Revit desirable
• Knowledge of British/European Standards and Building Regulations
• Good communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Lead projects as Project Leader on selected assignments
• Manage mechanical engineering delivery from inception to delivery
• Produce mechanical drawings, specifications and design information
• Develop design calculations and support junior engineers
• Attend client meetings and present technical information
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines
• Support the development of junior team members
• Ensure work is delivered to high standards and within timescales
