Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a privately owned multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. The role covers a varied portfolio across healthcare, education, commercial and public sector projects, with autonomy and the opportunity to lead selected projects from inception to delivery.

You will produce mechanical drawings and calculations, lead client meetings, develop relationships, and mentor junior engineers while maintaining high design standards and

Qualifications

• Requires degree in mechanical engineering or building services
• 3–4 years post‑qualification experience in building services design
• Knowledge of British/European standards and building regulations

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Leader on selected projects
• Produce mechanical drawings, specifications and design information
• Develop design calculations and support junior engineers
• Lead client meetings and deliver presentations
• Maintain high standards of mechanical engineering delivery
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines
• Support opportunities for repeat business
• Ensure timely delivery within project timescales
