Job summary

RGB Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a private multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with offices across the UK. The role focuses on leading mechanical design for varied projects, delivering drawings, specs and calculations, and guiding junior engineers within a collaborative, sustainability-focused environment.

The successful candidate will have a degree (or HNC/HND) in mechanical/building services, 3–4 years’ post-qualification experience, Chartered status

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• HNC/HND holders with mechanical building services design experience considered.
• Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
• 3-4 years' post-qualification experience in building services design.
• Strong experience in mechanical building services design.
• Experience with Revit is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Leader on selected projects.
• Work as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
• Manage mechanical engineering aspects from inception to completion.
• Attend client and project meetings and deliver presentations.
• Develop relationships with existing clients and support repeat business.
• Provide technical leadership and maintain high standards of delivery.
• Produce mechanical drawings, specs, and design information.
• Produce design calculations and support junior engineers.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines.
• Contribute to challenging projects across sectors.
• Support development of junior team members.
• Ensure work is delivered to a high standard within timescales.

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering

HNC/HND in mechanical building services

Chartered status (or working towards)

Microsoft Office
