Job summary

TAIT, a leader in live experiences, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in England. The role is to deliver all design phases, own elements, and mentor staff while meeting technical, schedule and budget constraints.

You will apply advanced engineering principles, perform calculations, support bids, and coordinate with clients and production teams, emphasising safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred).
• 3D CAD proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Commitment to Continuous Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design activities from concept to detailed production drawings and BOMs.
• Own larger project elements and mentor staff while tracking schedule and budget.
• Perform hand calculations, Excel-based analyses, and FEAs.
• Support bids with client requirements, risk assessments and cost estimates.
• Ensure safety and quality processes are maintained.
• Present findings at departmental meetings and coordinate with suppliers.
