Job summary

Green Cat Hydrogen Limited (GCH) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Scotland. The role covers piping and mechanical design, calculations, and safety‑driven project work across hydrogen storage and plant equipment.

You will work with multi‑discipline teams, develop design criteria, perform detailed calculations, and support design reviews from conception to delivery. Travel to sites is expected as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years in mechanical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in designing piping and mechanical systems with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop design criteria for piping and mechanical equipment.
• Perform piping stress, equipment calculations and FEA as required.
• Contribute to HAZID/HAZOP studies and safety shutdown design.
• Design hydrogen storage solutions and high‑pressure tanks.
• Create equipment lists, MSDs, layouts, and tie‑ins; support project deliverables.
