Job summary

Certain Advantage is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Huddersfield area for a hybrid role on a permanent basis. You will lead a small, experienced team and be responsible for detailed design, hand calculations, CAD work, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy industry components, Solid Edge, and FEA tools, and a degree in engineering. This role offers development opportunities and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with hand calculations to support design.
• Experience designing mechanical components and assemblies for heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of Senior Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Detailed design for manufacture and component sizing.
• CAD activities including 3D and 2D modelling.
• Create deliverable documentation (manuals, installation & maintenance instructions).
• Concession/Non-conformance assessment and resolution.
