Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. is representing a London-based building services consultancy seeking a Principal/Associate Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design across a range of high-profile residential and commercial projects.

You will drive from concept to completion, mentor engineers, and maintain strong client relationships. Utilising zero-carbon design principles, you will work with Revit, BIM coordination, and environmental modelling tools within a hybrid working framework

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered member of CIBSE, IMechE or IET.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design across multiple projects from concept to completion.
• Undertake load calculations, equipment sizing and environmental/thermal modelling.
• Produce design packages, stage reports and BIM coordination specifications.
• Manage project fees, resources and profitability.
• Serve as primary client contact and liaise with external design teams.
• Visit sites to verify design intent and construction standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Act as Line Manager and Team Coordinator for workload and development.
• Support business development and maintain client/architect relationships.
