RGB, a Bristol-based building services consultancy, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer. The role covers mixed sectors from commercial to healthcare, with a hands-on approach and direct access to directors. Hybrid working is available, and projects range from refurbishments to £50m+ developments.

The successful candidate will own projects, maintain client relationships, and work across surveys, feasibility, design, tender and construction support with a strong technical focus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong design capability and technical proficiency.
• Confident liaising with directors and clients.
• Experience in UK MEP consultancy is preferred.
• Hands-on with projects from surveys through to construction.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design of building services systems across projects.
• Produce and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Take responsibility for projects from surveys through design, tender and construction support.
• Manage several projects at different stages, tracking deadlines and resources.
• Build and maintain client relationships, attending meetings and advising on technical aspects.
• Survey existing installations and advise on refurbishment and energy improvements.
• Coordinate designs with electrical engineers, architects, structural engineers and contractors.
• Review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries, undertake site inspections.
• Check design work for compliance with regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with directors and the wider team to share knowledge.
