Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead large-scale data centre projects from initial design to client handover, ensuring high-quality delivery. Based in London or Birmingham, the role requires at least 7 years of relevant experience in industries like Healthcare and Commercial. The ideal candidate holds an Honours Degree and has strong skills in Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and REVIT, among others.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Data Centres, Industrial, High-Tech, Commercial, or Healthcare engineering.
• Possession of an Honours Degree; Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
• Deep understanding of engineering standards including CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and specification of Mechanical Building Services systems.
• Implement and maintain quality checks and controls.
• Manage project schedules and produce detailed tender packages.
• Coordinate and lead the project engineering team and mentor junior staff.
• Autonomously lead projects with minimal management input.
