Job summary

White Label Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Norwich to lead mechanical design from concept to manufacture and installation. The role involves hands-on SolidWorks design, visiting customer sites and collaborating with production and project teams to deliver bespoke machinery and conveyors.

The ideal candidate will have strong SolidWorks experience, a background in SP machinery or packaging/automation, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while solving

Qualifications

• Strong SolidWorks mechanical design experience.
• Background in special purpose machinery, conveyors, automation or production machinery.
• Experience taking projects from concept through detailed design, manufacture and installation.

Responsibilities

• Take mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture and installation.
• Produce 3D models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
• Design bespoke machinery, conveyors, guarding, platforms and automated equipment.
• Visit customer sites to understand requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
• Support production line relocation, machinery modification and upgrade projects.
• Provide technical support throughout manufacture, installation and commissioning.
• Work closely with Project Engineers, customers and manufacturing teams.
• Review designs and provide guidance to junior engineers.
