Job summary

PT Renewables is seeking a Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Intermediate / Senior) to lead design from concept through commissioning in a personal, director-led M&E practice. The role covers education, commercial, healthcare, industrial and public sector schemes with real project ownership.

You’ll use Revit/AutoCAD and MagiCAD to deliver HVAC, LTHW/CHW, and public health systems, while mentoring juniors and shaping low-carbon outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical building services design background from consultancy or Design & Build.
• Confidence in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with MagiCAD, Hevacomp, IES VE or TAS.
• Real technical depth in HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and hit deadlines.
• Communication skills to engage with clients, contractors and design teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept to detailed design: HVAC, heating, cooling, LTHW, CHW and public health.
• Run heating and cooling loads, hydraulics, pipe sizing.
• Layout plantrooms and select equipment.
• Write specifications, reports and technical schedules.
• Coordinate in Revit / BIM with architects, electrical and the wider design team.
• Attend client, design team and site meetings.
• Oversee construction, commissioning and handover, and resolve contractor queries.
• At Senior level, bring junior engineers on.
