Job summary

Morgan Ryder is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its aerospace and defence engineering team in the UK. You will develop mechanical structures from concept to manufacture, using CATIA and PLM, and lead projects with cross‑functional teams.

The role involves customer design reviews, applying DFM and additive manufacturing, and delivering high‑quality solutions within a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Eligible for UK security clearance.
• Experience leading engineering projects.
• Experience with CATIA and PLM systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, 2D drawings and BOMs.
• Produce design documentation including FMEAs and reports.
• Lead design reviews and interface with customers.
• Apply DFM and Additive Manufacturing principles.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate across teams.
