Job summary

Morgan Ryder Associates is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop high-value machine tools and bespoke automation for global manufacturers. You will own concepts through to build and commissioning, delivering robust mechanisms and complete systems.

Lead the design of machine tools, oversee CAD work, BOMs, and DFMEA/PFMEA processes while collaborating with manufacturing, assembly and commercial teams to ensure on-time delivery of turnkey solutions.

Qualifications

• Min 5 years design experience in machine tool design, SPM or bespoke automation.
• Strong background in mechanisms and moving assemblies.
• Experience designing complete systems from concept through commissioning.
• Ability to work across the full machine lifecycle and support bids.

Responsibilities

• Design new machine systems, mechanisms and components.
• Modify existing designs to meet customer requirements.
• Work on machine tool design, tooling and automated systems.
• Provide CAD models and detailed drawings.
• Manage BOMs and part releases via SAP.
• Support design reviews, DFMEA and PFMEA.
