Job summary

AVD Appoint is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a Cambridgeshire-based manufacturing group. You will lead the development of mechanical engineering solutions across various projects, ensuring designs meet client specifications, industry standards and installation requirements.

You will manage the full lifecycle from concept through to installation. The ideal candidate has at least five years’ experience, strong 3D CAD skills, and experience designing heavy fabricated steel structures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Designer or similar.
• Experience with 3D CAD.
• Experience designing heavy fabricated steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of mechanical engineering solutions across a range of projects.
• Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards and operational requirements.
• Involved in the full engineering lifecycle from concept through to installation.
