Dennis Eagle is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join the Chassis Team in Warwick. You will design and develop systems and components from concept through production, translating requirements into robust, fit-for-purpose solutions.
You will produce high-quality drawings, collaborate across functions to meet time, cost, and quality targets, support product launches, and perform root-cause analyses to resolve field and production issues.
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE (with the option to work from home up to 2 days a week, once you've settled into the role)
Hours: 37 hours per week | between 08:00 and 16:30 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00-13:00 Friday
Salary: between £45,000 and £60,000 pa DOE
We’re looking for an experienced and practical engineer to join our Chassis Team, playing a key role in the design and development of the next generation of market-leading products. This opportunity is ideally suited to someone with significant experience in a commercial engineering environment who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, contributing to innovative product development, and sharing knowledge within a collaborative team.
Take responsibility for the design and development of systems and components, supporting projects from concept through to production
Translate requirements into practical engineering solutions, ensuring designs are robust and fit for purpose
Produce high-quality engineering drawings, models, and documentation
Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects to time, cost, and quality expectations
Support product launches and provide engineering input to resolve production and in-service issues
Investigate technical and field issues, carry out root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions
Contribute to validation activities, ensuring designs meet required standards and performance criteria
Share knowledge and support less experienced engineers where appropriate
Degree (MEng/BEng), HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, including materials, stress, fatigue, and design principles
Experience using CAD (Solid Edge desirable) and producing engineering drawings to recognised standards (e.g. BS8888)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacture/assembly
Experience working across the product lifecycle, from concept through to production support
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage your own workload effectively
Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
