Vantage Consulting in Northwich, Cheshire, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a permanent role. You will lead mechanical design from concept through detailed design, testing and completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer specs, standards and quality are met.
You will mentor other engineers, drive design reviews and support continuous improvement of engineering processes and product capability, including high-quality drawings and calculations.

An established engineering business is looking to appoint a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take a lead role in the delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects.
You will take ownership of mechanical design deliverables from initial concept through detailed design, testing and completion. Working closely with the Engineering Team Lead and wider cross-functional teams, you will ensure designs meet customer specifications, technical standards, quality requirements and project objectives.
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will also lead technical design reviews, provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers, and contribute to the continued improvement of engineering processes and product capability.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in the concept and detailed design of mechanical equipment or components.
You will be a self-motivated and organised engineer who is comfortable taking technical ownership of projects while working collaboratively with others. Strong communication and time-management skills are important, alongside the ability to mentor engineers and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
