Job summary

Complete Talent Services Ltd. is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a global business near Knutsford/Northwich. You will design and develop mechanical components for Offshore, Oil & Gas and Subsea sectors, using SolidWorks for 3D CAD modelling.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and a strong background in design, with 37 hours weekly and 2 remote days (Tuesday/Friday). You will validate designs through calculations and FE A, producing manufacturing drawings and

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering qualification to Degree level.
• Strong demonstrable background within a mechanical design role.
• Excellent knowledge of Design and Manufacturing Techniques.
• Experienced using Solidworks for 3D Cad Modelling.
• Experience dealing with and presenting to customers is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Using 3D CAD software (Solidworks ) to design and develop new products from concept to completion
• Updating existing products to improve quality or to take advantage of modern manufacturing methods
• Liaise with customers to discuss new enquiries
• Represent the company during customer visits or at trade shows
• Ensure designs are validated using engineering calculations and FEA
• Produce manufacturing drawings of components and assemblies
• Peer checking of work done by colleagues
• Produce supporting documentation including assembly and test procedures, operating manuals, CE and UKCA marking etc. Ensure that all documentation and data conforms to the company's ISO9001 quality system
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure that components are designed for manufacture
• Offer technical support to colleagues and customers

Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Design Engineer to join a leading global business located near Knutsford / Northwich

The role will involve design and development of components used in a range of sectors including Offshore, Oil and Gas and Subsea applications.

This is a full time permanent opportunity with an industry leader in their field.

Candidates will be qualified to a minimum Degree level in a relevant Mechanical engineering discipline with a demonstrable background in design and development of mechanical products. Experience with Solidworks is a must.

Hours - 37 hours per week - 2 days remote available (Tuesday / Fridays at home)
