Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Orion is working with a market leader who were established in the 90’s and today serves an international customer base with sales, service, and support available worldwide within the automation industry. The company’s products are highly regarded for their standard of engineering, reliability, and performance within their industry.

The role of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be required to design the company’s full product portfolio. This includes compiling parts lists and maintain drawing records, the ability to work with the assembly and test technicians, providing practical and cost-effective solutions to design change and modification for individual orders, and provide technical support to customers and internal sales/service departments.

Skills and experience for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Extensive experience in design within an industrial environment, ideally designing machinery such as conveyor systems, packaging machinery, or 3-phase machinery.
• Experience using 3D design software (ideally Inventor) and 2D design software (ideally AutoCAD).
• Must be free to travel worldwide with no restrictions.
• Full UK manual or automatic driving licence.
