Job summary

Resource Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for a permanent role with a global aerospace business. Based in the United Kingdom, you will maintain and repair CNC machinery, plant and production equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

You will work on Mazak CNC machines, apply fault-finding and hands-on skills, perform planned maintenance and support shutdowns, all while upholding health and safety standards and driving equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or an apprenticeship in a relevant engineering/maintenance discipline.
• Previous maintenance experience within aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• A hands‑on approach with strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience maintaining production equipment, machinery or CNC assets.
• Mechanical and electrical repair experience on CNC machinery.
• Experience with Mazak CNC machines would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of machine tools and associated control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out corrective repairs to CNC machines, plant and equipment.
• Undertaking planned preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Supporting equipment shutdowns and returning machinery to full operational condition.
• Using appropriate diagnostic and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety during all maintenance activities.
• Supporting production teams with first‑line maintenance training and guidance.
• Installing, refurbishing and improving plant and equipment.
• Working with maintenance and production teams to continually improve equipment reliability and performance.
