Job summary

Heated Mechanical Services in West London is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead the site delivery of mechanical packages on a major infrastructure project. You will manage subcontractors and installation teams from construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring safety, quality and programme targets are met.

The role requires a strong technical understanding of mechanical systems, effective leadership and the ability to coordinate across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Previous Mechanical Construction Manager or Mechanical Site Manager experience.
• Strong mechanical building services experience.
• Good technical understanding of mechanical systems and installations.
• Experience managing subcontractors and installation teams.
• Strong understanding of construction programmes and site coordination.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience delivering packages through commissioning and handover.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Major infrastructure, rail or similarly complex project experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical installation activities across the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, supervisors and site labour.
• Plan and sequence works in accordance with the construction programme.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Coordinate mechanical installations with electrical, civil and other disciplines.
• Monitor programme, productivity and quality.
• Manage RAMS, permits, inspections and site documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical and installation issues.
• Attend progress, construction and coordination meetings.
• Manage snagging and remedial works.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities.
• Drive mechanical packages through to completion and handover.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout delivery.
