Job summary

Morson Human Resources Limited is recruiting a Senior or Principal Mechanical Building Services Engineer for a leading UK infrastructure consultancy. The role covers mechanical building-services design across infrastructure and MoJ projects, including prisons and other secure facilities.

You will lead the mechanical delivery on projects or provide technical leadership across a portfolio, guiding multidisciplinary teams and developing junior engineers while ensuring compliance with Building

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services is required.
• Significant experience in mechanical building-services design.
• Chartered status or progress toward registration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of heating, ventilation, cooling, domestic water, drainage and associated mechanical building-services systems.
• Prepare and check calculations, specifications, drawings, schedules and technical reports.
• Develop projects from survey and concept through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, structural, architectural and other disciplines.
• Mentor engineers and technicians.
• At Principal level, lead teams, approve technical deliverables, manage resources and contribute to bids and work-winning activities.
