Job summary

PWE Recruitment Group is seeking a Building Services Lead (Mechanical) to drive the delivery of critical MEP design on a major UK energy infrastructure project. You will own complex mechanical design activities, coordinate across disciplines, and influence design quality from concept through construction and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Building Services Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of building design, construction and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary building projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and coordination of Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) building services designs.
• Support the preparation of technical specifications for consultants and contractors.
• Assess technical submissions and contribute to contractor selection processes.
• Liaise with stakeholders across design, procurement, construction, operation and maintenance functions.
• Oversee subcontracted design activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Facilitate design reviews throughout all RIBA stages of project delivery.
• Resolve complex technical design challenges and challenge proposed solutions where required.
• Manage design changes, non-conformances and technical queries.
• Collaborate with commissioning teams to ensure successful building handover strategies.
• Apply quality assurance processes and engineering standards throughout project delivery.
