Job summary

Devon Partnership NHS Trust in Exeter is seeking a principal psychologist/psychotherapist for a 0.8 WTE role focused on Mentalisation-Based Treatment (MBT). The post includes clinical oversight of the Exeter MBT programme and a specialist caseload for complex emotional needs across the Eastern locality.

You will provide consultation, supervision, teaching to multidisciplinary teams, and support service redesign, audit, and research while maintaining accurate records and outcome data.

Qualifications

• Qualified clinical or counselling psychologist or psychotherapist with registration.
• MBT training or Practitioner-level qualification.
• Experience with complex emotional needs incl. personality disorders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out highly specialist psychological and psychotherapeutic assessments and formulations.
• Deliver MBT interventions.
• Manage a specialist caseload with complex needs.
• Provide clinical oversight of the Exeter MBT programme.
