Job summary

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a Senior Healthcare Support Worker in the Maternity Department at Lerwick. This part-time role (14.4 hours per week) is graded Band 3 with a pro rata salary range of £29,103–£31,409 and a Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum.

You will support midwives, work across day and night shifts including weekends, comply with induction standards, PVG scheme requirements, and deliver compassionate care to women and babies within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to and work under the direction of midwives within the Maternity department.
• Work day and night shifts as well as weekends as required.
