Job summary

NHS Shetland is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker (Band 3) for Levenwick Health Centre/Community Nursing. The substantive post is full time (36 hours per week) with a pro rata salary of £29,696–£31,409 plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £2,578 per annum (pro rata).

You will join the nursing team delivering care in primary care and community settings, working under Registered Nurses across community services.

Qualifications

• Experience as Health Care Support Worker or Social Care Worker is welcome.
• Skills in phlebotomy, ECG and basic observations are advantageous but training can be provided.
• Willingness to work autonomously and drive is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support Practice Nurses in primary care and the community nursing team.
• Work under the direction of Registered Nurses across community settings.
• Deliver care to the population of Shetland in a primary care and community setting.
