Job description

Maprium is a B2B technology company serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Our platform helps teams coordinate and govern Managed Access to medicines, bringing visibility and structure to complex processes.

You will market our technology to pharmaceutical and biotechnology decision-makers, developing an understanding of their medical, regulatory and access environment. Managed Access is explained below.

We seek a hands-on B2B marketer who can build connected digital campaigns, turn complex ideas into clear copy and organize a focused marketing plan.

You will own and deliver integrated marketing that supports our commercial strategy and measurably contributes to customer acquisition and growth. As a member of the marketing function, you will shape a plan with the Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and personally execute its core digital activity. You will connect LinkedIn, email, landing pages and CRM activity to generate qualified interest, support business development (BD) follow-up and improve results.

You bring the expertise to build, launch and measure campaigns independently. Onboarding will cover our customers, proposition, platform, priorities and Managed Access.

The CGO provides commercial and strategic marketing direction; our CEO and CTO contribute industry and product expertise. You will work with our Head of Design on creative production and coordinate specialist technical support within agreed budgets.

Key responsibilities
Planning and commercial alignment
  • Translate commercial priorities into a focused marketing plan, campaign calendar and delivery schedule. Agree objectives, budgets and priorities with the CGO, sequencing work within available resources.
  • Develop account-based marketing around priority biopharma companies and buying stakeholders. Use customer insight to understand their needs and readiness to engage.
  • Define campaign audiences, propositions, channels and next steps. Agree what constitutes qualified interest and how BD will follow up.
Messaging and content
  • Develop clear messages from customer insight, industry expertise and product capabilities. Interview senior colleagues and turn complex ideas into coherent, persuasive copy.
  • Produce content and commercial materials for LinkedIn, email, landing pages, the website and presentations. Brief the Head of Design clearly, with realistic deadlines and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain website content and consistent, current messaging across campaigns, product communications, events and customer-facing materials.
  • Build and launch integrated LinkedIn, email and landing-page campaigns, including conference marketing and follow-up. Manage company LinkedIn activity, support senior leaders’ activity and run targeted paid campaigns within budget.
  • Build emails and nurture sequences, segment audiences, and create landing pages and forms using existing tools. Coordinate specialist website development or production support when needed.
  • Connect campaigns to HubSpot, configuring data capture, workflows, follow-up notifications and tracking. Maintain accurate records, permissions and suppression lists in line with applicable privacy and consent requirements.
  • Check accuracy, presentation and functionality before launch and obtain appropriate approval. Test the journey from initial response to CRM capture and BD follow-up, resolving routine issues and coordinating specialist support as needed.
Measurement and improvement
  • Report on target-account engagement, qualified interest, commercial conversations and opportunities, connecting campaign responses to subsequent BD activity.
  • Distinguish marketing-sourced opportunities from those marketing has influenced or progressed. Track associated pipeline, customers won and revenue contribution where evidence allows, explaining attribution and tracking limitations.
  • Review campaign conversion with the CGO. Use results and commercial feedback to test and improve audiences, messages, content and calls to action.
  • Recommend changes to activity and investment based on commercial relevance and effectiveness.
Experience and capabilities
  • Around five years or more of relevant B2B marketing experience, in-house or at an agency, reaching specialist audiences in scientific, technical or regulated markets.
  • Account-based marketing or equivalent experience targeting defined organizations, supporting long sales cycles and engaging multiple buying stakeholders.
  • Personal experience building, configuring, testing and launching integrated digital campaigns: paid LinkedIn, email, landing pages, forms, segmentation and automation.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with HubSpot or an equivalent CRM and marketing platform, including tracking, reporting and connecting marketing responses to commercial follow‑up.
  • Evidence of generating qualified interest and contributing to BD and customer acquisition. Able to explain your personal contribution, results and improvements.
  • Ability to understand complex services or technology, learn a highly regulated market and adapt marketing to its audiences and requirements.
  • Excellent writing and editing, simplifying complex ideas while preserving meaning and accuracy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong visual judgment and thorough quality assurance.
  • Strong project management and independent delivery, prioritizing work, managing budgets and coordinating colleagues remotely.
  • Marketing services or technology to pharmaceutical, biotechnology or other life sciences organizations.
  • Familiarity with the pharmaceutical industry and Medical Affairs, regulatory or access functions.
  • Direct HubSpot experience in campaign delivery, automation and reporting.

Managed Access knowledge is an advantage, not a prerequisite.

How you work

You own your expertise, recommend practical approaches and deliver them. You explain your reasoning and recognize when to seek input or specialist support.

You are accountable, collegiate and generous with your knowledge. You listen to the CEO, CTO and CGO, ask thoughtful questions and turn their input into coordinated action.

You offer constructive challenge, respond well to feedback and treat colleagues with patience and respect. You enjoy shared achievement and contribute to a spirit of camaraderie.

We welcome different career paths: greater ownership, a return after a career break or a more hands‑on role in a smaller business. What matters is your practical capability, proactive approach and enthusiasm for delivering the work.

Early priorities and measures of success

Understand our customers and commercial objectives, review existing activity and systems, and agree a realistic delivery plan with the CGO.

Address immediate marketing needs while building consistent campaign processes and measurement. Aim to establish these foundations within approximately three months, balancing progress with live commercial priorities.

Success will be assessed through three questions:

  • Are we engaging the right organizations and people?
  • Is that engagement generating qualified interest and progressing commercial opportunities?
  • What are we learning and changing to improve the contribution?

Objectives will reflect our stage of development, resources and sales cycle. The CGO retains ownership of commercial strategy, sales qualification and closing business.

Understanding Managed Access

Managed Access addresses patient needs outside the usual commercial access route. It enables access to a medicine outside a clinical trial when a patient has no suitable treatment alternative available in their country.

It starts with a treating doctor identifying an individual patient’s need and taking clinical responsibility for requesting treatment. The pharmaceutical company assesses and manages access under applicable requirements, which may be before approval or commercial availability in that country.

Maprium gives biopharma teams the visibility, governance and control they need to turn a commitment to patient access into action.
