About the role:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Marketing Manager to lead the execution of our marketing strategy across digital, events, content, and brand platforms. Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this is a pivotal role in delivering Business Leader’s growth goals - driving member acquisition and retention, elevating brand visibility, and enabling commercial success through integrated marketing campaigns. This role will manage two members of the marketing team and work cross-functionally across commercial, content, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the Business Leader marketing activation plan across acquisition, retention, brand, digital, and events.
  • Manage two marketing team members, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
  • Drive new member acquisition and retention through multi-channel campaigns including email, social media, paid media (with agency support), partnerships, and content.
  • Own the campaign lifecycle - briefing, execution, testing, optimisation, and reporting, across channels.
  • Collaborate with the commercial and sales teams to align marketing efforts with lead generation and revenue goals.
  • Manage Business Leader’s presence across organic social platforms, ensuring consistent brand messaging and measurable impact.
  • Work with our head of data to analyse data and insights from CRM, analytics tools, and sales feedback to present to our CMO to drive informed decisions and campaign optimisation.
  • Lead the promotion of Business Leader’s flagship events to maximise attendance, engagement, and sponsor ROI.
  • Take direction from the CMO to brief and manage freelancers, agencies, and creative contributors to deliver effective, on-brand assets.
  • Report on key KPIs and marketing effectiveness to the CMO and executive team.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in B2B or membership/event-focused marketing roles, with at least 1 year in a management capacity.
  • Proven track record in campaign planning, digital marketing, member/customer acquisition, and retention.
  • Expertise in managing organic social media strategy, email marketing, and performance marketing tools.
  • Comfortable using CRM systems (HubSpot) and analytics dashboards (GA4).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, driven team.
