Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior Maritime Civil Engineer to join the Energy, Water and Resources team with roles based in Liverpool or other UK North offices. This is an exciting growth phase, offering opportunities to influence coastal schemes and flood defenses through practical, high‑quality engineering.

You will deliver design activities and project management across the lifecycle, including concept through construction, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with clients, government

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (BEng/MEng/MSc).
• Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership.
• Experience in coastal, maritime, or offshore engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of project work from early concept design through to detailed design and construction support activities.
• Technical leadership and delivery of civil/maritime engineering designs, calculations, models, reports and drawings.
• Project design management and delivery, including ensuring high quality technical design and reporting.
• Project commercial management including monitoring progress and costs against programme and budget.
• Team planning and resourcing requirements and management of deliverables through collaboration with supporting disciplines.
