Job summary

Arup is seeking a Maritime Engineer to join our growing Maritime Team across Scotland and the North of England. You will work with structural, civil and geotechnical engineers on a variety of maritime and marine infrastructure projects, from advisory and concept development through detailed design and construction support.

Qualifications

• BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent).
• Experience designing and delivering maritime or related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, BS 6349 and industry standards.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
• Confident working with clients, regulators and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects from masterplanning and concept through to detailed design and construction.
• Produce and review maritime engineering designs, calculations, reports, drawings and digital models.
• Undertake inspections, condition surveys and technical assessments.
• Develop technical details and sketches for CAD and Revit.
• Support specifications, contract documentation and project management.
• Build relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
