Job summary

Expleo Group is expanding its Marine Engineering capability and seeks a Senior Design Engineer to lead design of geared transmission systems and rotating machinery across the product lifecycle. You will adapt existing designs to new customer applications and environments, and develop testing methods and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in a relevant STEM discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g., IMechE, IMarEST, IET).
• Experience in a heavily regulated industry (Marine, Aerospace, Defence).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop geared transmission systems and associated mechanical components across the product lifecycle.
• Adapt designs to meet new customer applications and environments.
• Develop gearbox test equipment, validation methods, and test procedures.
• Interpret customer specifications and GD&T to ensure compliant design solutions.
• Lead and support engineering activities with cross-functional teams.
