Job summary

Expleo Group in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Design Engineer to join its expanding Marine Engineering capability. You will lead specification, validation, and testing for complex products across regulated maritime programmes.

You will design and validate test rigs, oversee installation and commissioning of systems, perform DFMEA/PFMEA, and provide technical leadership to bids and project reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or marine engineering.
• Professional engineering institution membership (e.g., IMechE, IMarEST, IET).

Responsibilities

• Define and specify product validation and test requirements.
• Develop test plans, specs, acceptance criteria, and validation strategies.
• Specify test equipment, instrumentation, and data methods.
• Provide oversight for test rigs installation and safe operation.
• Oversee lubrication and cooling system commissioning.
• Conduct shaft line alignment and balancing assessments.
• Perform noise and vibration measurements to verify design.
• Lead DFMEA/PFMEA and CI initiatives.
• Produce detailed test reports for stakeholders.
• Support field service and customer test activities.
• Contribute to bids, design reviews, and product development.
• Maintain test records and progress logs.
• Oversee metrics and risk analyses.
