Job summary

FINTEC recruit is recruiting for a Marine Engineering Operations Manager for our client based in Gosport. This is a permanent, Monday to Friday role offering a salary negotiable depending on experience.

The role would suit an experienced marine operations professional with strong mechanical and electrical technical knowledge. You will be responsible for managing marine engineering operations across vessel maintenance, refit, repair and engineering projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine operations managing dry dock, ship repair, or vessel maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of marine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience serving defence or commercial marine clients.
• Familiarity with Class and Flag State Authority standards.
• Proven budgeting, tendering, and cost-control abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day marine engineering operations and project delivery.
• Oversee planning, budgets, tenders, cost control and operational performance.
• Coordinate resources across operations, procurement, logistics and supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with industry, Class and Flag State Authority requirements.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support safe, efficient vessel maintenance and refit projects.
