Job summary

Quest Global is seeking an experienced Senior Marine Engineer to support inspection, assessment and maintenance planning of marine infrastructure assets in the UK. This role combines field surveys with asset management principles in safety-critical environments.

The successful candidate will work across office and site environments, producing technical reports and providing engineering advice to operations and project teams to keep assets safe, reliable and fit for purpose while complying with

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in marine, defence, nuclear, shipping or regulated environments.
• Strong maintenance planning and asset management knowledge.
• Experience identifying defects and assessing equipment condition.
• Excellent technical report writing and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of materials, corrosion and degradation mechanisms.
• Experience surveying marine assets and working with Royal Navy or naval infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections and condition assessments of marine and dockside assets.
• Survey dock furniture, floating assets, mooring and fender systems.
• Identify defects, corrosion, wear, damage and deterioration.
• Collect inspection data, measurements and photographic records.
• Develop maintenance plans, repair recommendations and work scopes.
• Produce technical reports and maintain inspection documentation.
• Provide practical engineering advice to operations and maintenance teams.
• Support prioritisation of maintenance activities based on asset condition.
