Job summary

SCOR Group in London seeks a Senior Claims Analyst focused on Marine lines (Hull & Machinery, Cargo) to independently review, adjust within authority, and triage claims. You will support Claims Experts, manage a caseload, and maintain excellent client service while collaborating with internal teams across governance, QA, and performance.

This senior role also acts as a first-line escalation point and provides guidance to junior analysts while contributing to SCOR’s transformation journey and

Qualifications

• Experience in marine claims handling with focus on Hull & Machinery and Cargo.
• Ability to review, adjust within authority, and triage claims accurately.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform FNOL reviews on incoming claims for assigned accounts/lines of business.
• Refer higher-complexity losses to a Claims Expert for assessment/adjustment.
• Retain low-to-mid complexity losses for adjustment and ongoing management.
• Delegate low complexity claims to Technical Accounting (TA&A) team for processing.
• Review contracts and backups to confirm coverage under the policy.
• Assess and determine low-to-mid complexity risk and value in line with policy terms.
• Identify complex or high-risk claims and escalate as needed.
• Close and follow up on all claims assigned, manually and electronically.
• Transact within authority including setting reserves and authorizing payments.
• Provide technical direction to developing Claims Analysts.
