Job summary

James Fisher (Shipping Services) Limited is seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer to lead the Technical Department on the Trent Fisher vessel, located off the East Coast of England. You will ensure adherence to Safety Management System, environmental regulations, and high safety standards across engine room operations.

Qualifications

• COC Chief Engineer STCW III/2.
• Valid ENG1 or equivalent medical fitness for seafarers.
• Proficiency in Survival Craft & Rescue Boats (CPSC).
• Advanced Fire Fighting Certificate (STCW).
• Personal Safety & Social Responsibility (STCW).
• Proficiency in Designated Security Duties (PSDS).
• Certificate Security Awareness training.
• First Aid Medical Care On-board Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enforce the engine department's safety and maintenance standards.
• Oversee toolbox talks and ensure safe systems of work are followed.
• Manage vessel engine room/technical activities and risk assessments.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure environmental and safety compliance.
• Maintain engine logbook and oil record book; ensure timely maintenance reports.
