Your new role

  • An exciting opportunity to join our Manufacturingteam as a Senior Manufacturing Section Manager – Commercial Manufacturing.
  • This is a maternity cover contract. It is anticipated that the role will be effective from 1 st July 2025 till 1 st July 2026.
  • This is a key role overseeing multiple teams responsible to produce a key medication, with accountability for ensuring first-time quality, on-time delivery, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide continued vision and strategic leadership to the commercial manufacturing teams.
  • Formulate realistic solutions to extremely complex problems.
  • Analyse operational and technical data to communicate solutions effectively to senior and executive management.
  • Coach Section Managers and Leads to ensure succession plan resilience.
  • Manage change processes, including shift patterns, scaling operations, lifecycle management, and ad-hoc events.
  • Ensure accountability for quality, compliance, and cleanroom standards, along with overseeing the team’s completion of quality-related documentation.
  • Responsible for recruitment, training, development and timely performance management of all direct and indirect reports.
  • Consistently influence and advocate high levels of GMP and GDP compliance, clean room behaviours and professionalism.

About you

  • Prove leadership experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Background in stem cells, cellular therapies, or cell banking – either through education or hands-on experience.
  • Strong understanding of GMP cleanroom and sterile manufacturing practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and departments.
  • Highly organised with the flexibility to manage both short-term priorities and long-term projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Exceptional report writing and documentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with strong overall computer literacy.
  • Quick to learn and eager to share knowledge to support team development.
  • Capable of meeting tight deadlines while handling unexpected challenges.
  • Adaptable and commi8ted, with a willingness to go above and beyond when business needs arise.

Qualifications

  • Life Science degree or equivalent related subject.
