Job summary

ATA Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Somerset to drive New Product Introduction, optimise production lines and support tooling design. The role covers customer liaison, supplier liaison and continuous improvement within a forward-looking automotive supplier.

You will work on NPI from initial meetings to sign-off, identify bottlenecks, balance lines, and specify new equipment. CAD experience, notably Solid Edge, is a plus, and a practical, data-driven problem-solving

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or NPI role within an engineering or manufacturing setting.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt; CAD training available

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Introduction from initial customer meetings through capability review and sign-off.
• Maintain existing production programmes and drive process improvements.
• Identify bottlenecks, optimise line layout and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Line balancing to maximise throughput and efficiency; specify new equipment as needed
