Job summary

ZeroAvia seeks an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and deployment of manufacturing processes for hydrogen-electric propulsion systems. The role spans prototype to low-rate production, partnering with Design Engineering to ensure robust, scalable manufacturing.

The successful candidate will drive DFMA-informed design decisions, implement process validation, and manage tooling, documentation and capacity planning in a fast-paced, highly regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, motorsport or highly regulated industries.
• Experience turning concepts into production-ready manufacturing processes for complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Experience with aerospace quality and certification requirements (AS9100, Part 21) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing activities across prototype, development and certification programmes, supporting system integration and testing.
• Develop and optimise manufacturing processes, work instructions and documentation for scalable production.
• Act as manufacturing lead within product development teams, improving quality, cost and manufacturability through DFMA.
• Drive industrialisation and production readiness including tooling, process validation and capacity planning.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality and regulatory requirements including first article inspections and audits.
• Lead continuous improvement across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Production.
