Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power in the UK seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead and optimize MRO repair processes across aerospace capabilities. You will drive improvements in turnaround time, quality, cost and delivery, while ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Working with Operations, Quality and Supply Chain, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, introduce new technologies, and standardise repair methods, tooling and documentation to maximise site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement.
• Experience within Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) operations and knowledge of Part 145 desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management with ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for MRO processes, complex repairs and test-related issues.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance productivity, quality, turnaround time and cost performance.
• Lead the development and introduction of new repair solutions, technologies, equipment and process improvements.
• Standardise and govern repair processes, test methods and technical documentation.
• Identify and implement opportunities for automation, digitalisation and equipment upgrades to improve efficiency.
• Improve yield, defect reduction and root cause resolution while mentoring engineers and technicians.
• Optimise workflow, WIP control and repair routing across multiple product lines.
