The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will manage our manufacturing processes. This role requires analytical, collaborative, and creative skills to identify opportunities for improvement and develop new processes supporting new product development. The successful candidate will leverage data to make decisions and recommendations aligned with Lean Six Sigma methodology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, procedures, methods, and tooling
  • Design and implement process improvement strategies using Lean Six Sigma in a regulated manufacturing environment, aiming to reduce costs, scrap, and variance
  • Handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing conditions
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Coordinate with the Materials Department for process improvements
  • Consult with vendors on product specifications, procure equipment and materials, and evaluate products for quality standards
  • Design workstations, sequences, and production procedures to maximize reliability and minimize costs
  • Estimate production times, staffing needs, and costs for management decisions
  • Provide feedback and communicate proactively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient operations and contribute to process and product improvements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Green Belt Six Sigma training is a plus
  • 5+ years of hands-on process improvement experience in manufacturing using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams for process improvements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency with Windows-based applications and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with analytical tools like MiniTab
  • Knowledge of CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or CREO
  • Experience with inventory control systems like Oracle or SAP is a plus
