Job summary

Moog Inc. in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead lean manufacturing initiatives for complex aerospace machining.

You will optimise Siemens NX-based CNC processes, provide DfM input, and drive PFMEA, Control Plans and MSA studies across NPI programs. You will mentor engineers and technicians, support internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to strategic manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Essential significant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a precision machining environment.
  • 5 Axis Milling and/or Mill turn Background Advanced CNC programming expertise using Siemens NX.
  • Strong knowledge of DfM, PFMEA, GD&T and process optimisation methodologies.
  • Experience leading NPI programmes from concept through to production.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineering colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Vericut experience.
  • 5 Axis Milling (Okuma MU4000V or equivalent) and Millturn (Mazak I100, I200 or DMG NTX 1000) Knowledge of DFSS, Zero Defects and advanced lean methodologies.
  • Exposure to EDM, honing, lapping, grinding, flow deburring, anodising and heat treatment processes.
  • Strong Siemens NX experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge of GD&T principles.
  • Exposure to advanced manufacturing processes including automation.

Responsibilities
