Job description

We are in an expansion phase across the firm and seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Tax Services Group to provide direct support to the partners by managing the personal tax affairs of an existing portfolio of diverse clients.

The successful applicant will be responsible for their own portfolio of private clients and should possess strong tax technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to foster client relationships.

The allocation of work includes compliance and advisory for wealthy individuals, partnerships and trusts and all related and complex aspects of looking after the tax affairs of a variety of high-net-worth private clients with wide ranging business and personal interests. Specific experience of dealing with residence and domicile matters, long with knowledge of the up-and-coming changes, is highly desirable.

The role will include some staff responsibilities and work planning, and the individual will report directly to the Director and client partners.

Ongoing training will be provided, with the opportunity for the individual to attend the firm’s annual tax conference and attend both internal and external training sessions.

The role provides a wide range of interesting work for someone with a solid personal tax background in a friendly and supportive environment.

About you

Candidates must be proactive, resilient and technically capable, with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. They should be innovative with vision, creativity and flair. They should possess the confidence and professionalism to establish credibility at all levels, be commercially minded and have a clear perception of client requirements. The position will require a high level of teamwork and commitment, with the ability to manage deadlines and run multiple projects concurrently

Candidates will require recent practical experience of running a personal tax portfolio and providing tax advice to a wider range of clients, with a detailed and up to date working knowledge of personal tax issues a given. Whilst technical skills are obviously important, this position also requires a team-orientated and flexible personality, alongside the experience of organising the delivery of tax work, problem solving and the ability to use their own initiative.

  • Excellent benefits including contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave, Life Assurance cover and great flexible benefits and family friendly policies,
  • Eligibility for the firm’s Profit-Sharing Plan. Paid in December.
  • Eligibility for the discretionary bonus scheme.
