The NFL is looking for a Senior Manager, Special Events and Logistics. This role will support the function director, to oversee and manage the Special Events and Logistics team across UK, Europe and UAE. They will be responsible for delivering and executing operational excellence whilst ensuring a best-in-class experience that meets the wider business objectives and goals.

Responsibilities

Accommodation, ground/Air transportation and NFL Elite Service

  • Planning and execution of all NFL HQ’s in market including accommodation and management of bedroom holds ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Management of all air/rail travel and maintaining the Amex/NFL relationship.
  • Contract negotiation/RFP and management of our Ground Transportation provider in all our markets for International Games and throughout the year for teams/VIPs in market.
  • Leading and oversite of NFL Elite Service, ensuring we are sourcing the best possible accommodation and in market experiences for all NFL VIP’s. Coordinating our NFL Elite Service team on game day. Ensuring all our guests have a seamless VIP experience in stadium. This includes liaising with relevant departments prior and during the day. Actioning last minute changes to schedules.

Budgeting

  • Oversight of all accommodation, ground transportation and NFL Elite Service budgets whilst managing up to Director Special Events and Logistics.
  • Ensure the team track, manage, and communicate their budgets to ensure Special Events, Logistics and NFL Elite Service come in within budget.

Vendor/Team Management

  • Lead relationship with our vendors

Team and Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and develop the Special Events, Logistics and Elite Service team through the year. Including training Seasonal Staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 - 10 years’ experience in the events/logistics industry
  • 4 years management experience
  • Extensive knowledge within a highly technical discipline of managing and executing large scale events
  • Ability to manage high value budgets
  • Experience in managing multiple partners and agencies
  • Outstanding stakeholder management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of sports events and logistics.
  • Commercially astute and able to identify revenue generating opportunities
  • Strong track record of managing a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver key information to all team members
  • Proven track record of supporting and developing team members
  • Ideally, an understanding of American Football

  • Effective problem-solving, can identify issues, find solutions and make informed decisions.

  • Strong presentation skills with ability to deliver key information to large audiences
  • Ability to adapt and be resilient within an ever-changing environment and event landscape
  • Strong capability for stakeholder management; confident in influencing and negotiating with both internal colleagues and external partners whilst maintaining key relationships
  • Demonstrates integrity, motivates team members and is recognized as a valuable team player
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter with a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering the best

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Terms

  • Willingness to travel outside of the UK, work additional hours and weekends when required

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
