Job Description:
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborate across the People & Culture function, the Culture, Performance & Talent team, and key senior stakeholders at BT to understand and drive the people leadership capability requirements, fostering alignment and buy-in for learning and development initiatives.
- Serve as product owner for defining and managing products and interventions that enhance people leadership capabilities, aligned with business priorities across various levels, brands, geographies, and professions.
- Utilize expertise in behavioural and capability development, current theories, best practices, and research to design and deliver impactful learning solutions that improve performance and capabilities.
- Lead the design, development, deployment, management, and maintenance of leadership development products, managing a delivery team throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define the squad vision, set OKRs, manage the backlog, prioritize requirements, and ensure quality standards are met, reviewing completed work.
- Strategically allocate team members and manage product portfolio to ensure continuous value flow and alignment with organizational priorities.
- Develop sourcing strategies, collaborating with managed services to optimize supplier portfolio and simplify processes.
- Oversee the coherence and quality of the People Leadership Development portfolio, aligning it with BT’s strategic workforce plans and broader HR functions.
- Design and implement change and adoption strategies, ensuring effective communication to promote awareness and utilization of leadership products.
- Focus on cost-effectiveness, manage budgets, and analyze ROI for products and initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key metrics to evaluate product performance, overseeing OKR rollouts and escalating risks as needed.
- Leverage internal data, analytics, and external insights to innovate and improve product offerings.
Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- Proven expertise in developing leadership capabilities across all levels and influencing the employee lifecycle to sustain performance improvements.
- Ability to leverage external research, trends, and insights to create innovative, colleague-centric learning interventions aligned with business strategy.
- Experience in identifying capability gaps and translating them into targeted, measurable interventions.
- Strong background in behavioural science, change management, psychometric assessments, and practical application of these in leadership development.
- Experience leading Agile teams and working effectively in a matrix environment.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders, with a proven ability to influence and secure buy-in.
- Commercial acumen, with the ability to align initiatives with business goals and financial considerations.
- Proficiency in using data and analytics to support product development and decision-making.
