Job summary

Carnival UK seeks a Senior Manager, Head of Engineering Standards and DevOps to lead the Engineering and DevOps Centre of Excellence, overseeing engineering capability and building a community of practice across DTO. Define standards, DevOps requirements, and CI/CD strategy for in-house and outsourced teams.

You will champion modern engineering practices, automation and cloud-native delivery, ensuring quality governance across DTO and partner teams.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering and DevOps Centre of Excellence, managing engineering capability across DTO and building a strong community of practice.
  • Define engineering standards, coding practices and DevOps requirements for in-house and outsourced software and platform teams.
  • Own the CI/CD pipeline strategy and platform tooling, integrating security, testing and observability into the developer experience.
  • Govern technical quality across DTO while driving the adoption of modern engineering practices, automation and cloud-native capabilities.

  • Significant experience leading software engineering teams within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Proven experience establishing engineering standards, quality governance, DevOps practices and technical assurance across internal and third-party teams.
  • Deep knowledge of modern software engineering, CI/CD, automation, observability and cloud-native delivery.
  • A degree-level qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
