Job summary

Carnival UK is seeking a Director, Platform Delivery to steer the technology direction for Carnival UK and its ships and head office. You will lead a team of technology professionals, shaping platform strategy and ensuring delivery of secure, scalable solutions that enable business outcomes.

The role requires strategic vision, strong engineering judgment, and experience managing large technology portfolios, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders in a hybrid work environment.

• Significant experience leading large-scale platform delivery within complex digital and technology environments.
• Proven track record delivering resilient, secure and scalable technology platforms.
• Strong commercial, engineering and operational judgement, including vendor and portfolio management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery, evolution and performance of DTO platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, security and alignment with DTO strategy.
• Shape platform roadmaps, balance new capabilities with technical debt reduction while ensuring reliability and readiness.
• Lead and develop high-performing platform delivery teams and cross-functional collaboration with product and shared services teams.
• Act as senior integration point across platform, product and shared service teams to enable product delivery.

The Role

As a Director, Platform Delivery, you'll play a pivotal role in steering the technological direction of Carnival UK and our ships, ensuring we continue to deliver unforgettable holiday happiness. Your leadership will not only shape our technological advancements but also inspire a team of technology professionals to excel in their roles.

Key accountabilities include:

• Own the end-to-end delivery, evolution and performance of DTO platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, security and alignment with the DTO technology strategy.
• Shape platform roadmaps, balancing investment in new capability with technical debt reduction while maintaining platform reliability and operational readiness.
• Lead and develop high-performing platform delivery teams, building strong technical, engineering, architectural and operational capability.
• Act as the senior integration point across platform, product and shared service teams, managing dependencies and ensuring platform change enables product delivery.

Job Requirements

This role demands a blend of strategic vision & technical expertise. We're looking for someone with:

• Significant experience leading large-scale platform delivery within complex digital and technology environments.
• A proven track record of delivering resilient, secure and scalable technology platforms that enable strategic business outcomes.
• Strong commercial, engineering and operational judgement, including experience managing strategic vendors and significant technology portfolios.
• A degree-level qualification in Business, Technology, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
