Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices is seeking a Senior Manager, Physical Design to lead a critical team responsible for next‑generation CPU Core implementation and signoff. You will optimize Power, Performance, and Area while guiding cross‑geographical teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep PD expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering complex SoC designs with tight schedules. Collaboration with RTL teams and ongoing flow automation are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on leadership experience in SoC Physical Design implementation, signoff, TapeOut.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing PD team focused on CPU Core design, implementation, and signoff.
• Apply extensive PD, timing closure, and signoff knowledge to deliver high‑quality, on‑time results for complex CPU cores.
• Provide technical leadership across all PD facets: floorplanning, CTS, placement, routing, extraction, STA, and final signoff.
• Collaborate with RTL teams to improve PPA metrics and drive flow development and automation.
• Mentor team members to grow skills and maintain a positive, collaborative culture.
