Thera trust is currently recruiting for a Senior Management Accountants to join our Finance team.
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting into the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, responsible for producing insightful financial reporting, overseeing budgeting and forecasting and driving process improvements. The successful candidate will line manage a small team of accountants supporting their development and ensuring high performance
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts including variance analysis, actionable insight and commentary for your respective subsidiaries.
- Lead on the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, producing year end accounts and audit packs for your respective subsidiaries
- Manage and develop a small team of qualified and part qualified accountants
- Oversee and produce budgeting and quarterly forecast alongside your senior stakeholders.
- Providing stakeholders and operational staff with an effective business partnering service. Focusing on improving the quality of financial information and processes as well ad hoc financial analysis and insight to support operational and strategic decision making.
- Collaborating across multiple senior stakeholders, including board members, the executive team and operational staff.
- Working closely with the Commercial and Development teams, providing robust financial information and costings to support for commercial negotiations and tender submissions.
Your Skills and Experience- Ideally a Qualified CIMA /ACCA accountant
- Proven experience in a management accounting role, preferably across multiple companies working with year-end statutory accounts, external audits and group reporting.
- Experience working collaboratively with senior stakeholders and operational staff, providing insightful financial analysis and forward-looking forecasts including highlighting risks and opportunities
- Good commercial acumen, ideally with experience of commercial pricing for tendering and costings
- Curious, analytical with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive and growth mindset , change agent for of driving improvement of processes and challenging the status quo
- Highly organised, calm and confident working under pressure
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Be able to interpret complex written and numerical information and summarize in a way that is easily accessible
